Research Line Coordinator at the NICPRI.UM: Isabel Camisão

The NICPRI has a line of research where scientific projects in the State, European Union and International Relations fields are developed. The State, as a multifaceted entity, offers a set of indicators that enable the understanding of the political system. The European Union, as an innovative political agent, is an important object of study for both the Political Science and the International Relations due to its institutional model. The plurality of the players and their distinct nature emphasise the complexity of the international system, also characterised by partial globalisation - where regional and global dynamics are interlaced - and by a growing interdependence, facts that justify the existence of a line of investigation that analyses the contemporary political phenomenon in its multiple dimensions.
